At Coldwell Banker King we’re not just focused on selling homes, we sell land too. One of our top land brokers is Pat Snyder who believes in empowering his clients with land education and knowledge. The food and travel writer for Money Inc, Matt Kirouac, is quick to point out that “a city that ranks 11th in population in North Carolina would be an unexpected place to find exemplary restaurants and bars.” But Asheville is full of surprises.
“Located in Buncombe County in Western North Carolina, with the Blue Ridge Mountains lining the horizon, this is a city that mixes the quaint charm of small-town living with big-city ambitions,” Kerouac writes. “This is especially evident in its thriving food and beverage scene, with more craft breweries per capita of almost any place in the country and a bevy of chef-driven restaurants maximizing the region’s abundant farmland. The result is an under-the-radar (at least for now) mountain Mecca brimming with
One of the most common questions from those considering a move to the Asheville area, especially those planning retirement here, relates to the quality and availability of healthcare. Some excellent answers are available in the March 2017 of Business North Carolina that ranks the state’s best hospitals.
Mission Hospital in Asheville tied for first in the annual rankings with acclaimed Duke University Hospital. Mission is the flagship of the state’s sixth largest hospital system that includes six medical centers as well as various outpatient and surgery centers in Western North Carolina. To further enhance its capabilities and service, construction is underway on a $400 million patient tower.
According to the magazine, the rankings are “largely based
Peggy Crowe likes to say “Everybody has a story to share.” Her own story has taken some dramatic turns over the years, affecting the way she does business today as an agent for Coldwell Banker King.
The self-described “recovering social worker” went back to grad school at age 50 as one of five charter members of the Masters in Nonprofit Organization program at the University of Georgia.
To fulfill the program’s required internship, Peggy chose to work with Habitat for Humanity, which was rolling out its Women Build project at two locations per state, one of which was Athens. She was drawn to Habitat’s approach to giving homeowners “a hand up, not a hand out."
Peggy recruited 25 female ambassadors to be the face of Women Build and over
Recently, a CBK team member’s Facebook post generated a stream of positive comments, and gave rise to a conversation about what makes this a great place to work. After five years as a company, we’ve formed a cohesive group that is proud of its shared accomplishments, and will always have a place for like-minded individuals.
Stephanie Salin posted the original comment: “Give a shout-out if you think Terri King is amazing. This is a woman who cares for her associates and only wants the best for them. Believe me, the competition is shaking in their boots.” Others chimed in with comments like, “Terri rocks and is our rock,” and “Very true, glad to be part of the team.”
Asked to elaborate, Stephanie said, “My favorite thing about CBK starts at the top
At 4 p.m. this Thursday, March 17, 2016 we invite the public to celebrate the grand opening of our first CBK Home Marketplace in Biltmore Park in Asheville. After months of dreaming and planning, we couldn’t be more delighted to share this exciting new concept with our Western North Carolina community.
This event will be the rollout of the next generation of real estate offices. The Marketplace puts cutting-edge technology into the hands of buyers and sellers, creating a high-touch, interactive experience with the potential to change the way real estate is bought and sold. With interactive, 3-D tours and large, touch-screen displays, buyers can explore areas of WNC that interest them from the comfort of our store.
When does a buyer know that a new home is “the one”? That gut feeling often comes after they’ve had a chance to look around a property in person and get a feel for the place. But what if your real estate listing offered potential buyers the opportunity to move around and really experience your home, anytime, from any device?
Coldwell Banker King is proud to provide its customers with the ability to add a 3D virtual home tour to their online listing. We believe this new application—borrowed from gaming technology—has the potential to be a game-changer.
Here’s how it works: Your home is photographed using a special camera, then those images are uploaded and processed with a dash of technological wizardry to create an interactive virtual tour.
If you've ever questioned the level of dynamic activity in downtown Asheville, this fast-paced time-lapse videography by Jared Kay will readily demonstrate things are jumping from sunrise to sunset -- and well into the evening. The exquisite imagery is set to the song “Life Crisis” from the forthcoming album by local band River Whyless. Better yet, come for a visit and experience for yourself the vitality and fun found in Asheville's always-hopping downtown -- but at a much slower pace.
It seems that virtually every week Asheville finds itself featured on yet another “best of” or “great places to” list. The most recent finds the town ranked number four on Impulcity’s “19 Most Beautiful Small Towns in America.”
Writer Matt Teaford declares Asheville “a mecca for both art and culture,” while also noting the town’s remarkably eclectic populace and lifestyles. Featuring an impressive shot from Asheville’s ever-popular Sky Bar, which offers some of the best views in town, the writer says, “The city at sunset is easily one of the most peaceful, romantic views we’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something.”
For those looking for a wonderful mountain town to live, work, retire or just enjoy with a visit, it’s difficult to find anywhere
Real estate has always been about location, but it’s never easy to put a price tag on exactly what that means. That fact is certainly emphasized in the new report from Coldwell Banker that analyzes what similar homes cost in nearly 2,000 real estate markets across the United States, providing a more apples-to-apples comparison of prices across the country.
The 2014 edition of the annual Coldwell Banker Real Estate Home Listing Report is the most extensive home price comparison tool currently available in the United States, ranking the average listing price of four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in nearly 2,000 markets across all 50 states. While other affordability reports provide average or median prices for all homes in a given area, the Coldwell Banker…
